Refund Policy

Overview

CheveningPrep passes, credit packages, quotas, and access rewards are sold as application-season preparation access, not stored-value balances.

This policy explains the difference between automatic credit restoration after a technical AI failure and refund review for a paid order.

AI Failures and Credit Restoration

If an AI tool fails after credits are charged and no usable output is returned, the system may automatically restore the credits reserved for that specific run.

Credit restoration for a failed run is not a purchase refund. Streaming tools may behave differently; if a tool successfully begins streaming or produces an output, credits are generally considered consumed.

Order Refund Eligibility

A paid order is eligible for refund review only if none of the credits, tool quotas, access rights, referral rewards, or other included benefits from that order have been used.

Once any included benefit has been used, the whole order becomes non-refundable. We do not provide partial or prorated refunds based on remaining credits, because the package is sold as preparation access for the application season rather than as a cash-equivalent credit balance.

Successfully Consumed AI Credits

Credits used for successful AI runs are non-refundable. This includes diagnosis, blueprint, essay outputs, evaluation, Playground samples, follow-up coaching, or interview outputs that were generated and delivered, even if you decide not to use the result in your final application.

Unused Orders and Mistaken Purchases

If you purchased by mistake and have not used any included credits, quotas, access rights, or benefits from that order, contact us for review. We may approve a full order refund, account credit adjustment, or another reasonable resolution depending on the purchase history, payment processor status, and applicable law.

Requests are reviewed case by case. Unused remaining credits are not refundable once the same order has had any benefit used.

Usually Not Refundable

  • orders where any included credit, quota, access right, referral reward, or other benefit has been used
  • credits consumed by successful AI runs
  • outputs you dislike but that were successfully generated
  • usage, restrictions, or access loss caused by account sharing, resale, bulk use, or unauthorized sharing of login access
  • requests based only on scholarship outcome or application result
  • expired, promotional, or already-adjusted credits, unless required by law

How To Request a Review

  • your account email address
  • purchase date and transaction reference, if available
  • whether any credits, quotas, access rights, or other benefits from the order have been used
  • which tool or credit event caused the issue
  • a short explanation of what happened
  • screenshots or error messages if useful

Review Timeline and Chargebacks

We usually aim to review straightforward cases within 5 to 10 business days. Payment-provider processing times may vary after a refund is approved.

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. Chargebacks can delay resolution and may result in account restrictions while the dispute is reviewed.
