One manager who had pushed back later asked for the template in writing; the cycle was extended to three more departments, and I ran a 90-minute onboarding for their analysts. I noticed my role had shifted from analyst to method advocate, and that the indicator I chose shaped which delays managers were willing to own. I still misjudge how much political weight an indicator carries before I propose it. I want to sharpen that through an MPP focused on public-sector performance measurement, especially how practitioners select and validate service indicators. My next step is a one-quarter test of the template at a neighbouring regional office, co-sponsored by my supervisor, using complaint-resolution time as the shared indicator and feeding results into our state planning forum.
